The Stock Market Game®, a nationally acclaimed simulation of asset markets, is supported in the Shenandoah Valley by SVEE. Teacher workshops, continuing consultation, and recognition of winners is provided with sponsorship from Wachovia Securities of Harrisonburg.
The highlight of each year's competition is the Winner's Reception, held in May at JMU. At the reception the top three teams in elementary, middle and high school divisions are recognized for the fall and spring games. Each winning student receives a certificate and a t-shirt that says, "I Won My Shirt in the Stock Market Game," as opposed to "I Lost My Shirt in the Stock Market."
